I had this problem the other day but have changed the valve springs.With it bouncing would it do damage to the engine? Now i seem to be able to rev to the limiter ok but some times it sounds like its running on 3 cylinders for a few seconds after hitting it.then it clears.

Im not doing this all the time it was just on the test drive with the new valve springs in.these springs maybe bouncing near the limiter maybe and giving me this reaction
