has anyone tried these a s2 turbo? any good? how do they fit ?

Not tried them myself, but reports are very good.

 

yes they work v.well on the track!! but see a lot of people dont understand the logistics of suspension ,and that is on our roads you will stumble across pot holes and such and cracks and ripples etc..........., and ideally you need to have a mid to soft ride so they are able to absorb the shock of you feeling every bump and harshness you feel in the car,putting coilovers will just make it feel very hard,i advise maybe somthing like konis at least then you will be able to adjust the setting properly aswell as the comfortability

 

i've got coilover on the escos and its not that bad ride and standard wheels ! so are they safe on the roads with a rear strut brace? i dont really want to rip the back of te car off

 

gaz coilovers are the dogs danglies. i've got koni S&S and my mate put coilovers in his RS recently and the change is just immense. huge thumbs up from me

With coilovers, you can get softer springs than you can with std setup. Turn dampers to full soft, and u have a very nice ride. Then,for track put some stiffer springs on, as it doesnt take long

You pay for what you get unfortunatly, but in answer to your question Ł440 ish is about the price for buget oil damped stuff

 

lol cheers mate, usually the rule init. Ł440 less than i expected though

 

they drive really good. Though i got 215/40 R17 on 7 1/2J rims, and that required a 6 mm spacer at the rear to clear the springs safely.
At the front there is a small problem with the length of the springs. they're to short if u lower your car a little. Then helpersprings will be needed, but are not supplied by gaz?

 

yeah but whats the point in doing that for the sake of 450-500 quid when you can just buy one set of decent springs and shox put em on and adjust em when you need to!

 

The point is that u get the best suspension for the job! Coilovers are far superior to Koni's in terms of both ride and handling.
