Default T3 oil feed inlet question

Just got my turbo back after pretty much a full rebuild, new bearing housing,2 new impellors, shaft, bearing, seals etc so i'm several hundred quid lighter!
Guy who rebuilt it reckons i should drill out the oil inlet socket to the same inside diameter all the way through to increase the oil feed rate through the turbo. The socket(bit the flexi pipe connects to) currently has a 4.5mm hole in the top and a 1.5mm hole in the bottom. Wise idea? anyone any thoughts on this?
I'm reluctant to do it personally as the holes are that size for a reason,if i make the bottom one bigger the flow will increase but at the same time reduce the pressure. HELP!

Well my T4 came with the hole already about 4mm
A friend of mine left his T34 with the 1.5mm hole and it destroyed itself because of lack of oil
