Will a Sierra 4x4 crossmember fit an Escort MK2??

a sierra x-member is much wider than the space between the chassis rails on a mk1 or 2 escort. there is no way that it will fit. even the engine mounts used on sierra's are too wide to fi in the escort engine bay.
