really dont know Jimbo! never looked @ it! I just know mine works!

I'll tey & have a lil chat with Gar tongiht see if he knows how it getsinto the vents sytem inside the car! those metal pipes might just plumb straihgt in2 the heater vents & pump cold air thgouh instead of hot! & perhaps there is some from of flap to stop hot air comin through!

I dont think it was age related. There is a different FINIS code for shells with and without aircon fitted at factory.

That said, there is an RS breaker on here that does know how to fit air con on cossies that dont have it fitted at factory.

Indeed, there is a modified bulkhead for cars with air-con..

It's quite modified to i think.. the gap below the windscreen is deeper with the modified part.

Dunno whether late ones have this as standrad or not though?

I know some late ones had the cut outs for the front shafts..

i was driving a primera for thursday and friday and it has to be said air con is SHITE !!!!!

dual zone climate conrol in the pathfinder i got this week is sooooo much better

was stuck in traffic on the M25 and had it set to 16 degrees and was actually feeling cold so turned it up to 19 degrees, was soooooo relaxed and confortable

got out the car in banbury and the heat hit me sooooo fucking hard when i was witing for the guy to find his documents i left hios office and got back in the truck , the guy joined me and agreed it was the tits as he hands me the documents to his nissan micra with pnly aircon and untill he got in my car was looking forward to it for the heat wave

just wish i could take the fookers home as getting back in my car after driving new cars all day really brings ya down with a smack

anyway i gotta drop off a 350z tommorow and collect a boxster so i should still be chilled

I always enjoy picking up customers cars with air con - always funny sitting in North London traffic, pull up next to the fitter's van (who took me to collect customer car) and see him with both windows down and sweating, while I sit there with all wondows closed with the AC set to 20deg

The bulkhead on aircon cars is pocketed to take the evaporator - it's like a big closed in letterbox about 15" wide and 6" tall - if you can find one in the scrappy it is easy to cut out and weld in - after you have stripped out the dashboard, wiring, wipers, old heater etc.
