Default lift pump for swirl pot????

i was having some problems with fuel starvation in the gte when the xe(n/a astra gte engine ) was in i dont think the tank is as good without a swirl pot and a 044 pump to lift from it is as good as i was lead to belive so i am going to fit a swirl pot or its all going to end in tears on the let(calibra turbo engine)

what size is a good size for a swirl pot and what pump should i use as a lift pump to feed it i belive any carb style pump will do but can anyone help ???

I did one for a Escort Cossie once, the swirl pot was about a gallon. Connections were low pressure in, high pressure out and a return to the main tank. Used a high flow low pressure pump from Real Steel that was sized to pump more than the high pressure pump could.

use a decent low lift like a holley or a facet red top, i use a 1 gallon tank, and it goes - low lift > swirl chamber > high pressure pump > fuel rail > swirl chamber > main fuel tank

hth
remember to restrict the flow back to the main tank so you dont empty the swirl chamber

Don't forget to have your fuel filter in there too.

BTW I didn't put the return from the fuel rail back to the swirl pot because I wanted the coolest fuel possible.
