Default whats the best way to get swelling down on an ankle?

got a football tournamnet on sunday, and today in training some cock stamped on my ankle with footie boots n and its swollen now and hurts, whats the best way to get the swelling down? is it cold or heat?

Elevate it with lots of Ice Packs etc, Frozen stuff like peas, sweetcorn and anything else you can find will help too mate! HTH

Seriously though, elevate it so that your foot is above your bum and put an ice pack on it. Make sure that the ice pack is wrapped in a towel or sommat like that otherwise you'll get frost burn or whatever you call it. And only leave the ice on for 10 mins at a time

i have done that, i tore a ligament and it fucking hurt, stay of playing
footy etc for about 4-6 weeks, i carried on playing football after i did mine,
did it just before half time and played the 2nd half, wish i hadnt.

Elevate it and ice packs. You shouldn't really play on it as you may aggravate any damage and make things worse
