I've been on one plane in my life and I jumped out at 3500 feet, so I still have no idea what it is like to land in a plane! Don't think i'd feel very safe without a parachute.

For me, the hardest bit about flying is the bit just as you leave the ground.

The sound/feeling of the Turbines winding up, before fecking of down the Runway at big speed is great. Then as the wheels lift, the plane appears to go weightless for a second, which turns your guts. Then its a bit tense while you climb.

I find that whilst the things on the ground are still close enough to look like what they are (i.e. Houses/Cars etc), its a bit scary and a fear of heights plays a part there, however, once you are above the clouds, the stuff on the ground is fascinating and I love to have a Window seat.

As said above, on a plane is quite a safe place to be, so just sit back and relax, you will actually enjoy it!!

It helps when the reason you are getting on a plane is to go on Holiday. Every time we go away, I am nervous, but when I think of the amazing Holiday that awaits, it makes it that bit easier.

Flying is cool and i have had two dodgy flights Even went non a propella plane this week Fookin loud! lol

Its only a short flight and should be ok mate, imo though the bigger the plane the nicer it is to fly as you dont hear all the little noises of things happening etc

I wasn't exactly a great fan of flying. But going on all the rides at the theme parks last year in Florida certainly cured that

Apparently

Just dont think about the fact that you're in a small metal tube thousands of feet in the air. And that when the engines fail you'll die, Or when terrorists overpower the pilots you'll die.

Do you have trouble in Lifts? Same principle. Small tube - failure - death

Chances are very small so try getting drunk. It wont hurt so much if your hammered when the plane careers into the runway at 400 mph

Well.. when I was a kid my mom took me out flying and I was 14 when I was given the controls midair in a prop but it was funny as fuck.
Best thing was a glider I was in, he told me I had to wear a parachute but we would never get high enough for it to be able to work hehe. And then he gave me a wicked ride in the glider and it was fun.
I love flying aswell, the takeoff is waaaaaaaay cool all that speed and power yeah baby

My sister is a stewardess and loves to fly aswell.. my dad on the other hand hates it.

This is well handy. Print it out and take it with you. When the planes falling have a quick read. It contains all the help you need.

Casper......we had that same situation too when on flying with a VGS.

The gliders flew at a max of about 1000ft, the parachutes we were wearing needed 1000ft to open propperly and slow you down to the extent you break your legs (and every other bone)....upon landing

Since's he has probbaly done his flight now, I'd just like to say, the "scary" things about air travel, are NOT crashing, to crash isn't really a big problem.....there are much worse things than that

Hehe but that's what makes it exiting and more fun
This is also why I was often left alone to setup the exsplosive charges and the home made claymore mines in the military
