FFS.....I HATE FOOKIN CARS

Thought Id pull my finger out this week and fix everything that is wrong with my car......I aint gonna list it all coz it will piss me off even more.....ordered my new turbo, steering rack yesterday, started saving the money for my tyres etc etc etc

Get in the fooking shed this morning to find a nice big puddle in my passenger footwell.........this is the 3rd car that this has happened too now.....im soooo pissed off, feels like a never ending circle......fix one thing and something bigger goes wrong

<----- I wanna take one of them to it....

Aw well go on holiday on Sat so at least I don't have to look at the fooking thing

The smile factors usually always there even when it pisses me off and something breaks, apart from now i got water swishing around in the footwell so I can't really pretend that problem aint there

I know how you feel, but its make or break and you would be gutted if you sold it.

I had the same decision with mine a few years ago, i spent just under 6 grand on new erngine turbo brakes etc etc, thinkin that once it was done that would be it, trouble free motoring for a few years.....No chance the bellend specialist who fitted the patrs left a bolt in the inlet manifold which caused no end of damage... So ive started again

so frustrating but its a love thing

often feel like selling/breaking it

When they run perfect, bst cars around

Its not the problems etc that piss me off, as being only a mildly tuned RST, never really get major things Its just sometimes I think the money can be better spent, rather than throwing money away, and if sold, would never recouperate it

Spent Ł2k rebuilding my motor, only for it to run for 17 miles then blow up again! Cost another Ł2k to get it put right. Can smile about it now,but at the time i was seriously GUTTED. Car very nearly "went missing".

Think how bored you`d be if you had a reliable car...
For me personally the best bit of owning the cossie is the fact its so interactive(you gotta interact with some spanners on a daily basis.. )

Seriously though they are mega cars despite all the little probs and don`t forget they are gettin a bit old now..

So chin up Kim imagine how much fun you`d have missed if you didn`t have it ...

I know how you feel kim, i have a s2 and a very short temper.
There always seems to be something that needs doing...
I blew the bottom hose off the turbo on my way to work on sunday (random) its never done it before so why make me late for work!!!!!!!

Surely when your cruising in the sunshine the smile on your face will be bigger than pauls in his smelly diesel, and i bet you'll miss her heaps while your on your hols!!!

Don't let it get you down hun

Paul, I hear you! i am getting rid of mine for something more reliable and cheaper to run (ish)..

i was SERIOUSLY thinking of selling mine last night as i chipped another headlight on Sunday and then yesterday I broke one of my side mounting lugs on my front bumper

had to get it wire tied down until i can take the bumper off and fabricate another mount onto it.

This caused me to be late this morning but I did have fun on the way to work in the slippery conditions which always prompts a smile from me

Hey hun, chin up!! They're old cars, you can't expect them to be all tickytiboo (sp???). But when they do run properly, they are just GREAT!!!

Sometimes its just a matter or making a list of things to change / do on them by priority order (like tyres.... ) and then tick them off one at a time. You'll get there eventually... c'mon... keep smiling!!

Stu hun it might be the cheapest but I don't know if I actually WANT to fix it any more....

Don't get me wrong if I sold it, the first thing Id go out and buy would be a 3dr, ye the probs would probably start all over again, but i'm at the stage now where im not sure if i can be arsed with this one.....i don't even like the colour any more, nicest one when their clean, but mines full of scraches

I am smiling sort of.....coz all the power is still there....just a lot of water noise pmsl, gonna have a gander later see if I can find whats wrong with it, then im gonna dump it on my drive till after my hols

best to buy a good car to start with & keep the mods within your reach,
no good having a 400bhp car if you can't maintain it, anything high performance will be higher maintence.

I wish it did have loads of power that way I could justify the money I'm spending on it!!!!

Never mind THINK it's sorted now anyway
