Default As you can see i had troubles with my diff

so i found a replacement one that cost £160,


called a few garages to fit it and they wanted about 150 to 180 to fit it,

so i thought fook that i'll have a go me self. 2days later bang, me n a mate done it.
may have taken a bit too long but we done it. look at the pics below

hmmmm where do i start


the diff, woooops!!



drive shafts out, sorted all now is the prop shaft



and the prop shaft came off, but it took ages as the bolts were tight as fook.

lol what taking the old one out n put the new one in, dammmmmm thats quick lol
i didnt have a clue what i was doing got the haynes book out had a we read and got on with it. had troubles a few times but it was worth it

na it as just a sierra one but the way the diffs are mounted etc is the same,
one long bolt, 4 short ones on the diff and 4 that are on a bracket at the rear of the diff on the top side and then 12 for the drive shafts 6 each side and 4 for the prop shaft..

There is definatley a definate order to fit bolts to ensure that this job doesn't involve any struggling!!

did one at home in my garage took me age's

at work on a two poster with a nut gun took half hour

lol, so much better when you got all the gear. one garage said to me that they had to take the gear box out and take off the rear brakes etc
