I click on my tiscali icon and connect to broadband, after less than a minute i get disconnected and when i come to reconnect everything has gone regarding broadband, so then i reinstall everything, try again and it happens again!

same is happening to my mates PC

Now, im gonna try and upgrade to windows XP pro as thats the online disk i have and see if that helps anything, but is there a virus or anyone else having these problems?

 

 

What did your virus scanners report ? And what did the spyware scans report ? I would personally suggest that if you're gonna bite the bullet and wipe it clean and start again, then to do a fresh install of XP rather then upgrade it.

 

i would love to delet everything and start again mate but i havnt got a clue how to even start formatting and then reinstalling?

plus i dont have any drivers for the graphics card, DVD/CD writer, DVD player, Sound cards etc etc

 

Mine was doing something similar to that a few weeks ago
i just restored comp to a earlier date an luckily everything sorted itself out.
Talking about viruses and that, just got about 4 trojans of that MsnPlus as divvy me installed the sponser programme

 

well i did it, stuck my XP CD in and deleted the lot and reinstalled XP PRo, then spent the last hour finding the drivers for it!
