I click on my tiscali icon and connect to broadband, after less than a minute i get disconnected and when i come to reconnect everything has gone regarding broadband, so then i reinstall everything, try again and it happens again!

same is happening to my mates PC

Now, im gonna try and upgrade to windows XP pro as thats the online disk i have and see if that helps anything, but is there a virus or anyone else having these problems?
