Default This latest MSN Virus thing....

Someone in my MSN Contacts unknowingly sent me a Virus last night.

Anyway, as a result, my PC is trying to launch a file called 'run.exe' when it starts up.

I have run 'msconfig' and can see it in the list, but cant remove it as you cant remove items there.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this?? I think the harmful files have gone, and its just trying to link to something that is no longer there,

HELP!!!

Remove it in the registry.

Run regedit

then go to the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\curr entversion\run

You will probably find a key thats running run.exe

if you do delete it.
