thought diesels needed big ex housings compared to petrols?
Whats that about then? CAT LeMans Diesel, feckin miniscule ex housings compared to the compresser, even if it was a petrol youd say they tiny, never mind a oil burner
Lovely mota tho
A 2ltr diesel runs a T2 sized turbo for instance, whereas a petrol 1.6 will run this.
Loveley looking Engine
If my understanding of pulse tuning is correct then:-
exhaust gas are made up of a series of pulses, and the runners on the manifold will have been specifically tuned to allow exhaust pulses to line up and enter the exhaust housing denser.
Denser = more compressed and therefore the lesser the need for size.
