is that any good as i have heard about people doing it with 4x4 one s iam planing on doing it to a rs 500 ones

im asking as brom is running a hoooooge cooler on his but running silly boost

my 500 cooler is fine on my car and the act's aint high at all

Can't see why it wouldn't work, although I seem to remember Karl saying that he didn't like the cores used in RS500 coolers and hence he uses 2wd and 4x4 intercooler cores for his custom intercoolers!

it's a lot of work, probably take someone 6 hours....
2 x genuine 500 coolers at Ł400-ish each?
the ambient air flow would be pants because the finning/tubes on the genuine core are quite fine and the water rad would be starved of air.



i could sort you a tried and tested version (our 50mm cooler) for under Ł400 with the vat


worth thinking about

the big power rs500 on performance fords cover had three 4x4 intercoolers welded together and that held 779 bhp

4x4 coolers suffer alot less from pressure drop or non at all compared to 2wd ones.

BIGGER than a RS500 cooler is a VERY good plan.

Actually using 2 RS500 coolers to do so ISNT

it was only a segesttion iam not doing it my self as it would take to much time not that i cant weld alloy its just gona take time. that will cost me as time is money .kev sharp its funny coz you reply to most of my posts but thats ok. pro alloy dude are your intercolers better than the rs 500 ones as i wont the best money can buy hope fully gona be running 2.8 bar so what you got ..

yes indeed... dig out the test in last Augusts Performance ford!!
2.8 bar will not be a problem.

abdr 500 you will not find a better cooler than a Pro Alloy one for both performance or quality! I have one of their coolers and an alloy rad and they are both spot on!! Wayne is a very helpfull geezer and offers a service second to none

Wayne can you PM me a price for a 2wd header tank with sight glass and bayonet fitting for the cap please
