Default Head gasket away?????

My RST is standard bar the filter, exhaust and dump valve and the other day as I stopped for traffic lights, all I could see behind me and around the car was white smoke so automatically thought head gasket.

Thing is there is no visible oil/water mixture, car runs perfectly and boosts up fine, doesn't use water and temp guage never goes above half!

Even the white smoke is very occasional, only other thing is the car wont idle and always cuts out at junctions when warmed up - when she is cold no problem at all.

Any suggestions?

Have you had the fuelling checked or it could be the breather blocked up

HI,

Could be brake fluid from master cylinder through servo to inlet manifold.
IF the headgasket is ok,any oil burnt would be blue smoke,
