why would you wanna run that much when you could safely run around 12lbs of boost and have well over 200bhp

so simply because of the larger cubic capacity, means it will produce more power at same level of boost...

a 2.1 will produce more power at 14psi than a 1.6 at 14psi yes ?

Yes mate easily i know people who run 10psi with around the 220bhp mark. Good thing is you dont have to worry about your engine or turbo blowing but maybe you should worry about your gearbox

get it on a RR or summit you cant say "it can/will run X Y Z amount" yu jus set it up to what suits the engine, be it 12 or 18 psi,

i know what you mean by this as i have difficulty trying to explain this to my m8s at the end of the day all engines are different, what works well in one engine wont even graft on another.
All i normally get off them is more boost = more power .

well this is realistically what i've going to aim for for now with the std ke-management maybe less boost if the injectors cant/wont keep up.

out of curiosity i was reading a feature on an 2.1 zvh in an old mag i've seen the car on here before its the one that takes on the evo and wins ("its-evo-time!!!!!").
anyway he apparently has bigger modified injectors??? does anyone have any ideas as to where these came from or how to modify the std ones in to bigger ones???

yes these are on standard rods i've already sent you a photo of my power graph with my new set up. I am only running 19 psi but this is only because my injectors are at there limit and if i want to run more boost i have to go up to either light blues or greys

my bank manager loves me!

who wants to place a bet on the results of the power graph then ?

hi there,

it all depends on your fuel management, if your run standard ford KE then anything over 17psi without extra fuel is dangerous. but with a fifth injector kit or EFI conversion is fine.

most of the time i run round on 10psi i turn the boost up Occasionally especially when i am racing someone since i've had my cts stage two plus box and zoo motorsport fully adjustable lower arms using all of my power is a Breeze i want more hopefully all should be finished by ford fair just a few things left to do
new spoon style cossie inlet manifold
s8 ecu with switchable maps one for normal use and the other for nitrous
new zetec block with steel rods and je pistons
new cossie loom with coil pack driver and lamba sensor
a set of grey injectors so i can run a Maximum of 29psi
Hydraulic clutch operation so i can get a clutch with a really heavy duty cover wrc style cant get a paddle which stops slipping when i activate my nos just imagine having a paddle clutch pedal as heavy as a 1.1 fiesta
twin brake Reservoirs one for the front and one for the rears with a brake Biased valve
fully indepentant rear beam ( still in development ) like you get on the focus most of the bits i have already got brom at zoo motorsport is in the process of making the other bits

I've herd somewhere that the rods were only good for 300 bhp and the crank for 350, but you just proved that theory wrong

the standard crank is good for 450bhp i dont know about the rods but i am not going to push them any futher dont want to destroy my head due to benting a rod or breaking it like i've said i have got eagle steel rods and je racing pistons so when my new bottomend built i can whack my boost pressure up and reach the power that i am Targeting
