As above seem to have lost the last post in the problems PF has been having so lets start again!
Re-shelling my XR3i, although it looks quite clean, its pretty rough underneath and needs floor pans, sills, cross member amongst other things! Here it is before:

And now:

And this is the shell its getting built into:

After looking at loads of shoddy ones, this was perfect for what I was after. a solid 1.1 Bonus, no sunroof, unusual colour and best of all it cost £30! It didnt concern me that the doors, bonnet and tailgate were fecked as I was using the XR ones anyway. Apart from that shell is superb, never been welded, absolutely mint battery tray etc! Few wee bits of welding but its all gettin cut out and done properly so it doesn't rust again.
I'm going for a complete 90 spec RS Turbo replica but keeping the original colour which is Matisse Blue, its gonna be running a 1600 EFi for a while, (till I finish Uni and then its gettin turbo'd or zetec'd).
And some photo's of the strip down:

And then, my wee run about while the Bonus is being built:

Cheers for looking and any comments welcome.

Cheers for all the comments guys, makes it worthwhile!
Been busy with uni recently so haven't had much time on her, but as from today i'm on holiday so gettin stuck in - wee bits welding here and there gettin done on monday, plus we are gonna try and make a rear solid strut brace, then the wings and front panel go on, then its ready for paint!
The run about is a top motor, bought it for £120 and put my wheels and springs on, the poor thing takes everything you can throw at it and starts first time, every time! The springs are 60mm G-max with a coil cut off back ones, although i'm gonna do fronts as well, front is way too high.
More pics up shortly.

Not to worry mate - safety is obv a priority and we have ensured its stable, plus if we are ever under it there is another person there plus we have constructed summat to ensure it doesn't go all the way!
Even though I have to replace wings, doors etc I think I was fookin lucky gettin it for £30. All the main parts are mint. Pics def up soon cos welding has started, as has painting and fittin various parts.

Small update - Chiz has started cuttin tatty bits out and welding:

The man himself (called Chiz on here) hard at work - cheers mate!

And finally for now, my nice new wings and front panel

More photo's up soon when my digi camera stops sulking!
We have got pretty much of all rear suspension parts either powder coated or they are new, poly bushes are fitted and we have started painting from the back, nice shiny black. Also picked up 4x4 Cossie front brakes, rear disc conversion, braided brake hoses, new window rubbers, brand new headlights and clear indicators all to go on one day!!!

Must get my finger out with this been too busy with Uni recently to do anything.
Next thing I need to get is a suspension kit, any recommendations? Want it lowered about 60mm.
Cossie brakes, anti roll bar and rear arms have been blasted and powder coated, got to move the shell elsewhere to do the welding though.
