Default Cutting out under boost

My 1988 Sapphire was cutting out when giving some beans on my way back home, when driving "normally" the car seemed fine. When going up a hill and to get past a slow moving truck I have it a bit extra and then the car completely cut out and I was able to pull over. The car then started again and I was able to nurse home however now unable to start. Any ideas what the cause(s) may be? Cheers

Problem can be in many places. As car wont start:
1. Check that you get fuel to fuelrail
2. Check spark
3. Check spark plugs
4. Check ECU plug
5. Check compression

If these all are ok, then lets find next places to check.

It will be an electrical issue 100%.
I’d start with checking plugs, phase sensor, crank sensor etc… and go from there, how old is the engine loom?
