My car (sorry a Triumph TR8) was modified by Grinnal in the 1980s to be a 2+2 and fitted out with Recaro Mk4 R/S Turbo 88 seats with matching door cards and rear bench seat. Although I was able to renew the bolsters and foam seat bases, the central seat fabric is loose and wrinkles after use, although can be smoothed out. Does anyone know where I might be able to get enough fabric just to renew both seat bases (not the backs) or is it possible just to renew the backing material, as the velour itself is still good.
Pictures attached.
Many thanks
Pete
ps. I would love a Ford, as an Escort was my first company car, but they are starting to get out of my price range, but at least I am sitting in the same seats!

there are a few Series 2 RS turbo Facebook groups if you are on the platform.
you’ll likely get a quick response on there.
i have some spare seat covers but unfortunately the later 90 spec material.

got a mint rear bench out of a 1988 rs turbo in the loft.
can’t remember if it’s the top or bottom part but the material and foam is immaculate
could be re-purposed ?
