rst turbo pressure
Hi all looking for some help/knowledge. My stage 1 or 2 s2 turbo is leaking loads of oil into exhaust and ive already done the seals.
How would i check crankcase pressure ( and also am i going down the right road here? )
Do the oil catch/swirl pots help with this and anything else i can do? Ive also done the piston rings and 1 piston.
Cheers.

A little history and info would help.
Done what seals exactly ?
And did this just suddenly start one morning, or what is the actual story behind it ?
Is it breathing heavily out the oil filler cap if you remove it ?

[QUOTE=stevieturbo;6840101]So you built the engine, and DIY'd the turbo.....I guess with the limited detail, those are 2 red flags for things to go or be wrong.[/QUOTE
Someone ages ago said the same thing when I asked for a wee bit help and understanding on how something worked. Is this site not for learning and asking for help? Id say ( and everyone thats actually seen it ) I've done a good job. Ive learned absolute loads along the way DOING IT MYSELF - not everyones a rich cunt that can afford rip of garages.
I actually take what I've learned and help my mates and neighbours out with there mechanic work saving them tons as well.
So to everyone that jumps on either to slate me or waste my time hope yous have a crappy day and your car brakes down 😂

Well you have given no explanation why you "rebuilt" either, what those rebuilds entailed. Whether it was fine before your rebuild, Nor any history to this problem ( despite being asked already ). Nor stated has it ever ran correctly. So How TF is anyone supposed to give a remote diagnosis, when you give zero useful information ?
So based on the only two pieces of info you gave, there can be only one outcome.
If the engine is breathing heavily, something is f'd. So if it is a "rebuilt" engine, without any causation, clearly it should not be breathing heavily.
Turbo "seals" are technically to seal the external side, not the oil side. But again as you give no info as to before, only after, this is another recipe for getting something wrong.
If the oil path is clear, return clear, and the turbo free to rotate, then those seals should be doing absolutely nothing in terms of oil, as oil shouldn't be near them.
Some people are just difficult to help. And don't worry, my car will not break down
Understand how things work, then you can maybe proceed to fixing.

No it says I built the engine and done the turbo seals. I bought it all separately then pieced it all together. Yes I probably would have been quicker and easier just buying a complete engine but where is the learning in that? Im guessing it's probably not the turbo causing it after new seals.
If my waste gate was set incorrectly would this cause extra pressure?
