has anyone successfully fitted another fuel tank sender unit from another ford or any other make or even a universal unit and gauge. there stupid money second hand. there was a new old stock recently £400. just throwing it out there before i call some breakers im jumping the gun a little ive not even tested mine yet. does anyone no what colour the main feed wire is to the sender thanks. a 1.8 cvh sierra fits. just cut the pick up pipe so the sender is the same length. trim the pipes of on the the top of the sender and blank the holes of. the 1.8 uses a lift pump. your low fuel light wont work and the 1.8 sender is a perfect match for the cossie fuel gauge
