Hi,

does anyone know a garage near Leeds that could look at my MFI Rs turbo?

It has a cold start issue, doesn’t seem to have any power to cold start valve or the brown temp
sensor….. it also had a fueling issue (wouldn’t enrich on full throttle) I’ve changed the TPS but have no idea if it’s fixed it. Basically just need someone with some knowledge to get it running sweet as it’s just sat in the garage year after year.

thanks mate, tried C&J this morning but there booked up solid… said to try back in few months. Was putting all my hope in them lads getting me on road for the summer but not looking positive. I just don’t know enough about MFI to work my way through the cold start and fueling issue.

thanks Mate, just looked online…. there not far from me… hopefully I’m going to sort my cold start issue this weekend and I’ll give him a call to see if he can help me out. Looks like he has a rolling road too so that a bonus…. Hard to find anywhere that knows how to fix MFI RST’s

 

Sounds basic but have you checked the fuse that says it's for heated seats, on the S2 it's for the injection system.

 

hi mate, yea the fuse is good, I have power to fuel ECU and 8v to metering head but nothing to cold start, thermo time switch etc…. And was told by MSD that the fueling wasn’t increasing under acceleration. Going to have a full Saturday on it now Pete has let me know how to check it over. Just fed up of it been sat in garage unusable. Not many places seem to work on them anymore

a lad I knew rang them before new year enquiring about lookingjj no over his S1 that had been laid up since 03 36k on clock. They told him they don’t work on MFI anymore but would replace the whole injection system for him with stand alone.

 

i read the same thing on there website, I wouldn’t want to guess how much it costs for a full stand alone….. hoping to get it somewhere near myself and maybe just a set up from NMS.

A little further away but Mike at MAS Tuning in crewe, about 1.5 hours away but an amazing guy! I have just found him, wish i knew about him sooner!
