Need a new starter for my S2 90 spec. I’ve seen a few threads on different options but thought I’d double check what you guys are using?
Ive seen transit options and also zetec. Hoping that any alternatives to original will be like for like in terms of bolting on and wiring?
Any advice would be great and maybe a link or 2 so I make sure I get the right one. Seen a few on eBay for the transit which I think are right but would obviously like to be sure.
All recommendations would be very welcome 😉

 

Transit connect - fit and forget.
I've always taken the opportunity to rip out the original wiring and fit new too - including to the alternator given its a single additional wire. Makes a world of difference and slow hot starting a thing of the 90's

Bought and fitted the above starter for the transit connect diesel.
Starts like a brand new car..happy days.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a replacement or upgrade..spins proper quick and sounds great.
Like for like fit as well even the wiring.
