Just picked up a bargain set of Mondeo ST220 Recaro front seat to go in my ST TDCI. Bolsters are all good with just a small of restitching needed on the drivers side but what is best product to clean them up?

Also, what is best to dye to back to a decent looking black? They don’t have to be perfect as they are going in my £187k mile workhorse mondeo but would like to make them more presentable if I can.

For general cleaning any leather cleaner will do or Lux flakes for cleaning woolen clothing (I was advised this when I bought
leather furniture and done it for years) Always moisturise (feed) after cleaning.
As for proper refurbishment and dyeing I have no idea 😁

 

Have you you got the half leather seats in your mondeo now??

I had a mk3 zetec s mk3 mondeo and that had half leather and I put these recaros in my mondeo. I liked the seats but i felt a bit disappointed with them cause i didnt think they held me in the seat as well as the standard seats I had.

 

Yes, a knackered set of half leather in there at the moment. I’ve had an ST220 in the past so I’ve used these seats before and prefer them over the half leather ones.

 

A lot of the classic boys use Gliptone liquid leather, a kit comes with a bottle of cleaner and a bottle of food, smells like leather too

 

The ST220 recaros I got for my mondeo we 8 way electrical adjustable. It was plug and play. They worked well. Better than just electrical up and down on the standard seats.

 

we bought a leather sofa a few years back and told to clean it with a bar of dove soap as its natural nothing added. ive all ways cleaned the saff leather with it
