Hi all

Issue with one of my 3dr hubs and wondering if anyone has any experience with similar

Basically one of the bearing races is a loose fit in the hub (hub is obviously worn) don’t have sizes as car is away but wondering what people have done with this?

Option 1. Would locktite bearing retainer work?

Option 2. Could take them into my work and either machine them and press in an insert or plasma them and machine to size, this will mean they will need powder-coated again

Or can you buy an oversized bearing race?

 

Just how loose are they ?

Some Loctite products would be indeed designed for that sort of thing....but never really used them for something as big and loaded as that. Of course also depends how loose it is.

Really a new housing or repaired housing for a proper solid fit would be best.

 

It’s not a mark walker hub is it. A guy in Basingstoke had one that the bearing was loose in
