The car runs fine once warmed up, it coughs and sputters until it gets warm then it’s fine

I’ve just got the car a couple of months ago and it’s been having a few bits done so it’s not been out much but each time I’ve taken it out I’ve noticed it’s happening each time so my guess is it was like that when I bought it, are there any garages you know of who can sort it?

Not sure how far it would be from where you live but MSD ( Motor Sports Development ) in Blackpool are experts on Coswoprth's.

I’ve heard that name about but it’s probably 2 hours or so, i really don’t think it’s anything serious as it runs perfect when warm, I believe there’s a cold start valve which can get blocked which causes this issue, it may also be a stuck thermostat I just don’t have the mechanical aptitude to do it myself

The 2 potential causes do sound possible as you say it runs perfectly once warmed up. Changing the thermostat is fairly easy and not very costly.Have a go at doing it yourself. There is probably a youtube video showing how to do it.
