Hi i was just wondering what everyone thought the best colour was for a series 2 escort rs turbo? I always wanted a red one but i bought a white one 20 years ago and i loved it in white. Ive seen a aubergine one on youtube and thought that was really nice. Just wondered what everyone else thought and if anyone had seen or owned any different coloured ones appart from the red, black, grey and white ones. Theres a sierra cosworth colour which is like a light blueish greyish silver. That would be a nice colour for an rs turbo. If anyone has any photos that would be cool. Thanks

Blacks a good colour for a rs turbo. Id like a black Rs with 17 inch Rs 7 spoke softline wheels. Good look that

 

Mine was Radiant Red but I always wanted a Mercury Grey 90 spec!!!

 

Mercury greys a nice colour. I once had a 1990 Escort 1.6 sport in mercury grey. It was a really good car for me.

I've had white and red. Red always stands out more but aubergine is a great non oem color

Ye red is good for a Series 2. I always wanted a red one but after buying a white one i really liked it. I thought it really stood out when i put 3 coats of turtle wax on it. It had a glass like finish. I was really impressed with the Aubergine too. I think its a Escort cosworth paint colour.

 

Black is the colour for me. That's the colour mine is

 

All standard options. But NOT black.

 

Mercury grey all day

 

My current one, had a radiant red years ago which I thought was best, prefer this now though

 

White for me all day long I will admit not the best pic but she is being recommissioned!

what size wheels and offset and did you have to modify arches/kit or do they clear with no rubbing?

 

hi mate. Thanks for the comment, these are escort Monte Carlo wheels so I’m guessing they are the same offset etc as the standard cosworth wheels, they seem to be fine for clearance as had cosworth wheels before these when it was on the road, but it is a lot lower this time so i won’t really know till it’s back on the road! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

It's it orginal, then Rosso/Radiant red. But when it comes to modded, i love white ones with Compomotive MO1781. But i'm keeping mine Radiant Red. Because of nostalgic memories..
