MK1 Focus wheel arch rust - preemptive strike?
Hi guys,
I have a MK1 Zetec 1.6. The rear wheel arches are not too bad with rust YET, but there is the telltale sign of discolouration in the corners. It's coming.
Looking for recommendations of how best to attack this please. My current plan is
This may not be the best plan, so if anyone can improve this method it would be great to hear.
Many thanks

- remove liners,
- clear out debris,
- clean/ dry,
- sand down any rust to bare metal,
- treat with Kurust,
- paint with touch up paint.
- Maybe then wax or put grease on them to discourage future rust.
