I have an XR4Ti. It had a T5 box and the stock T9 driveshaft modified for a V8 gearbox. Saff rear beam and diff etc.
I took the T5 and propshaft out of my basket case 2wd Saff. Everything went in ok using my bell housing. The propshaft needed 30mm taken out for the 2.3 motor length.
Now I have an extreme angle from the centre bearing to the output shaft of the box. I’m kind of perplexed since I had a T5 in there already and the shifter is in the general same area. Input and output shafts are on the same plane in gearboxes.
Putting the two propshafts beside each other nothing is out of the ordinary. Centre bearing is the same. The cossie shaft is much thicker but that’s it.
If I hang the centre bearing down 50mm everything looks ok.
What the heck am I missing?
