tyre recommendation
After a bit of advice on tyre size guys. Just ordered compomotive TH1781 17 x 8 ET35 wheels for my 3 door. What would be the best size of tyre to go for so i dont have any rubbing issues.
Any help would be much appreciated

i think its more the strut plate area.. but if u have like rs500 splitter there sometimes run that aswell.. my friend has konis on his and he used to run 215 on front and 225 on rear with no issues but i think his arches are cut away.. my car hasnt had nothing done to arch lip and bodykit is uncut so i didnt risk out lol.. i think but there arnt cheap you can get a 215/35/17

ive had 205/40/17s on 8" rims for years no issues there are obv streched a little but fine.. i think it will be a safe bet just so you no there go on without hassle otherwise you will end up haven to sort arch lips out or trim stuff and these days with values of the cars does anyone want to do that for a sake of a set of alloys lol..

You are doing the sensible thing, quite often people try to fit tyres which are to big and then wonder why they have rubbing issues.I presume your car is not lowered?

You can always get 2x 215/40’s first and check them on the front. If they fit just get another set of 215/40. If they don’t fit get 205/40. Personally I would really want the 215/40’s.
