Seen on Facebook that Harvey Gibbs had a YB on their engine dyno that made 1020bhp

Don’t know much about it like what spec it will be or what it will be used for

Absolutely incredible but not hugely supriseing

Now we have these new Smith and Jones blocks they are now more equal to modern engines, and if we look at the vr38 engines in the gtrs they are upto 3500 hp now.

That's 900 hp per litre, so I guess theoretically a full on methanol drag yb could be capable of 1800 hp 😮😮

These motors seem to be holding well so I'm sure there going to keep getting pushed further and further 💪💪

 

Would you need to upgrade the internals of the standard 4x4 gearbox though? LOL

 

When you think a standard 4X4 gearbox was designed to take low 200s bhp I would think it would never be able to handle over 1000bhp without major upgrading.

I read years ago that the gtr’s standard block is only good for around 800bhp? Roughly the same as a 200 block if true.

 

That's nonsense mate I believe my block is stock at 1600 hp

No mate that was the svm hulk which I believe doesn't exist anymore.
Was a seriously quick car, I believe was 2500 hp at its peak 😮😮

These Smith and Jones motors are the way forward for mega power 💪💪 difficult to get hold of right now though

 

Awesome as always from scs. Such a good block the smith and jones, highest I’ve seen so far is 1300hp in a Greek capri. Shame they are hard to get at the moment, looked into buying one recently and will be a few months before available.
