Convert old 3 door keys to facelift/scorp/saff keys?

I've got a 3 door XR4 (XR4Ti) with push button hatch and central locking. The pot metal push button boot latch is a pain.

Can you fit a push button set with the new key style (Tibbe or Chubb) in the 3 door boot ,doors, and ignition? What year(s) donor?

I fitted the more modern transit keys
to one of my 3drs
Near on a straight swop from memory

have not done the boot yet
as have no time
but the rest was easy
