Default Cosworth 4x4 ABS problem

Hi guys,

the problem my car has developed is
when I drive and use the car the ABS and red brake light come on simultanously about every second time
I use the brakes.
I checked the system stationary and if I pump the pedal the lights come on and at the same time I hear the
pump starting to run. So I think there is a pressureswitch that is not working as it should.
This switch should activate the pump before the pressure becomes too low
Can someone point me in the right direction

Robert

Hi,if you hear the pump every time you press the pedal you must change the accumulator.

The pump runs about every second time I press the pedal, so I don't think the accumulator is faulty.
I think the pump should be running earlier than it does now, so I suspect a pressure switch is faulty,
but I don't know where to start

A good accumulator should hold 5-7 pedals before the pump start again.

Check the accumulator for signs of leakage.
