abs problems
Hi chaps.
My mate has a cosworth 2lt 4x4 that has done since new 37000, it looks mint every thing looks like new. It has been stood in the garage for a year and now he as started to use it again the ABS light comes on when he starts moving.
He has cleaned all the wheel pick ups and the sensors but the problem is still there also the pedal is pushed towards you as the pump pressurises the system, he says he thinks it pulses.
We have turned the engine off pumped the brake pedal and then started the car ,the pump comes in and seems to cut off when it biulds pressure.
Can any one give us an idea were to start.
Paul

Have you checked all the sensors? I had a similar issue to yours on my 4x4 Cosworth and it turned out one of the rear sensors was duff.
Disconnect each sensor and then use a multi meter to measure the resistance across the sensor connectors, from memory you should get about 12 - 13000 ohms.
