Default Help needed - fuel pump on S2 Turbo

Electric fuel pump is playing up a bit, car starts no prob every morning but if I drive about five mins and stop for petrol say, car won't start (fuel pump wont prime) if i leave it for three mins or so, fuel pump primes and off we go - has done this a few times now. And then cruising down the motorway last night, car dies and wont start (fuel pump not priming) and then again about three mins later, it fires up!

Car is bog standard except full stainless, dump valve and filter, only other thing I can think of is car has an immobiliser fitted which when armed, wont let fuel pump prime or car turn over?

Any help very much appreciated!!

Could be the Classis Fuel Pump Relay.

However, a new Fuel Pump wouldnt be a bad purchase. We are finding that they are often tired now as most have been on for 15+ years!!

Thought about the relay like - is that the thing which tells it when to prime etc?

check your connections at fuel pump, take them off and give them a clean at put back on.....if it still does it then its the pink relay under your dash m8...they do tend to melt abit, if so just replace anyway...expensive but well worth it, im sure there Ł20 +.....good luck pal

ps: if all fails new pump m8.
