Default Cosworth smoke

Hi guys

I own a low mileage (40k) small turbo cossie and it randomly oil smokes on idle after a run.

there is no smoke on full boost or when I slow down and power off again and clean on startup most of the time although has smoked a few seconds after startup once this year.

some days I can run it and it’s fine and others it will smoke after about 30 secs pulling up at the lights no matter how it’s been driven

car is totally standard except a mongoose ss pipe.

Any advice would be great.

thanks.

They can be Smokey engines. The valve guides / oil seals can some times need doing. When my car went efr turbo and modern management it cleaned up a bit but mad said then that some are Smokey and unless you want to pay for a rebuild just live with it.

Could be breather related, valve seals etc etc
