Default Cosworth: Blue smoke on startup...

Hi Guys,

Car has been driving a dream of late. But noticed the otherday a puff of smoke (blue) when I pulled away from cold.

I have kept my eye on this and it clears after 30 seconds or so and then no smoke at all.

I notice it only seems to happen on cold starts and for a short period of time. It is like its letting a small amount of oil into the exhaust system when it has been sat over night or for a long period of time.

I get no smoke on boost, over run or warm startups.

The car is running a 205 block stage 3 with a T34. It has no DV so it chatters alot.

Any ideas? I first thought it could be the seals on the turbo as the punishment it gets with the stall etc but I would imagine that should smoke on boost or over run?

We are talking a very small amount, just a puff on cold start and then a small amount for around 30 seconds...

Any ideas?

Would be handy is someone could add a rough price as well to the mix so I know what damage it will cost my wallet.

thanks in advance

Mark

Also thought I would mention. I have been using 10 - 40 full synthetic in the car, it was always ran on 10 - 60 or something like that? would this different oil make a change? maybe its too thin or something? long shot I know
