I'm swapping a Volvo C70 T5 engine into a 2004 Ford Focus 1.8tdci sport. This is the car I've decided to do the engine swap. I've stripped the front of the focus and lined up the new engine for size reference. Sizing up the new engine plant Taking picture of where the driveshaft on the standard engine comes out And again on the passenger side for reference later. The power plant. A C70 T5, Turbo charged 2.5, 5 cylinder. New engine slightly bigger Engine out and new lined up.checking clearance. The Volvo 5 speed l, checking clearances. Volvo gearbox in. Font panel on loosely to see how it fits. Some cuts out of left chassis leg to allow the gearbox in, this will be patched once I have sorted all engine mounts. Subframe again, some trimming to all gearbox final drive in. Now I have the hole front of the car stripped, and engine in the final position, now to start making the Volvo engine mounts suit the ford.
