i don't even know what they are called by the lights that turn on when you turn the steering wheel, some cars have them and some don't
i'm not even sure if it was an option on mine but i'm sure i've seen it
so how do i know if i have them or not?
and if i can turn them on?

You must be bored. If I had them on my car, the first thing I'd be doing is getting them turned off not on. They just make your car look like its got a light out. Totally pointless.
