Default Sapphire turbo lag

Just got my car going after a resto
The engine is as follows
202 block with valve cutouts
standard head
BD14 inlet
BD10 exhaust
70mm pro alloy intercooler
T38/.48 specked by turbo performance
2wd exhaust manifold
4x4 inlet
plenum spacer (10mm )
L8 ECU
it’d seems a bit laggy from what I’m normally used to
It runs fine and goes really well when turbo gets there
boost starts to come on around 3500fpm
it’s going for a final MAP but don’t think it will improve the turbo lag

what’s your expert thoughts
thanks all.

Ive yet to speak with them and take it for live mapping
I know the BD10 will make it laggy low down
The turbo is a T38/48 Harvey Gibbs uses them with great results
