looks like a right chew on.

I used a tyre machine at my work a few weeks back. The rim popped off the machine and the arm caught the rim which has damaged it. Ahhhhh I wish I paid someone to do the tyres now ha ha.

i would happily do a perfect smaller rim or a bigger rim with a higher profile, but to be honest now I have done it once and kind of learnt a way of doing it I think nylon covered tools would be ok, that rim was already crazed but it didn’t get any deep scratches.

if I can find the bits in the garage I will make an assist arm for it, and see what difference that makes.... I only bought the machine because I was board on eBay

Well done for trying it yourself but for me for the small cost involved in getting tyres changed by a professional who will make sure the wheel is not scratched or damaged is worth it.

the video was more an is it possible on a 19”. I changed a valve stem on my trailer and the ฃ10- 15 Saving that made and the fact know where was open to do it has paid for the machine in my eyes,

since I bought the machine I have has a tyre fitted professionally on my 18” diamond cuts on one car and the other is due a run flat, that will also be getting done professionally,

I bought some used 13” for my metro that needed the tyres taking off so it’s really convenient for bits like that

For the jobs on just steel wheels or old worn alloys as you say it is a useful bit of kit to have at home.

theres not much flex in a low profile 19 inch tyre . that would be a right pain doing them often. ive had a blowout on the motorway in a 265 x 30 x 19 and you hardly feel it because of the low profile.

It had virtually no flex, to the point I gave up on the first try!

lol. I welded a box section into it, the pin has started to wear out the hole in the tube so I will be welding a tube in to spread the load, that was damaged on a rusty steel wheel,

the bead on the 19’s wasn’t actually that bad
