Default over heating when idleing

hi im new to this . my car a 1.8 petrol ford focus 2005 is overheating when in traffic and fans not kicking in also ac not working could this be connected to temp sensor and where would it be found plz help

...Do you have enogh coolant in the tank?air lock maybe ....if this is fine try bridge over the temp sensor on radiator to see if the fans are working or easier remove relay and bridge two connectors...hopefully is something simple

You need to verify is power is reaching the fans, there are two relays (R45 and R46) it's best to ascertain whether they are working.

Fan control is via ECU.
