Hi all,

some of you may be interested in my V8 converted Ford focus ST170.

Ive used a 1UZ-FE engine and a pair of volvo turbos with a bmw 5 speed gearbox and a 350z rear end. Ive been at it a while by now and its getting to the road test point.

The alloy flywheel spacer Springs to mind.

 

LOL, you hold your wheels on with alloy spacers and there's much harsher loads going through them

at least i fixed that I wasn't keen on it to begin with anyway but it served a purpose at least

i should of done something like your doing when I built my focus cosworth as there was some very Big fuck ups lol

 

Well I haven’t made that many tbf and the ones I have made are all cheap enough to fix anyway.

im still less than Ł4K into this and I’ve got 2 cars out of that too lol

 

What sort of power do these make, not an engine I've looked into before.

 

This one is 250 standard, the newer ones were anywhere between 250,280 and 300 depending on what year you get.

they can easily be made to have 800-1000 with turbos and picking the right engine to modify (earlier engines have thick rods etc.)

this one with its 2 baby turbos should get close to 400. I have plans for 800 eventually though.
