Default Rear brake caliper

Hi all, been a little while since I've been here!
I was just wondering, does anyone know if the fieata mk7 rear calipers from a standard fiesta will fit the rear mk6 fiesta st? Trying to broaden my search a bit as when you type in st to a search, people like adding st tax to their sales!
used to get the same when I was a noob to the Rx7! They love a bit of Rx7 tax! After a while you start realising that most parts from a mx5 will fit it and the price on the sale is halved!

cheers

I persevered a bit today and managed to discuss out an old caliper from the shed. Checked part no.s and it just so turned out that the mk1 focus has the same caliper as a st! So these fuckers advertising st calipers second hand for 50 quid are a big con! You can buy brand new calipers for 30 quid! It's not a tried and tested method on my part yet as I'm gonna strip this caliper and see if I can use it first! If I end up buying the focus caliper then I will report back!

I've got a feeling there is a difference with the handbrake mechanism between the st150 and focus MK1 caliper

They look identical on the handbrake mech but you could be right!

I never went through with it but the only reason I seen to think they are very slightly different is because I have a mk5 fiesta and people use these calipers for a rear disc conversion. People either fit MK1 focus or st150 parts, but one is favoured over the other due to either there being a difference in the hand brake mechanism or possibly even the mounting hole for the abs sensor. I can't remember which though

Ha maybe I have focus brakes on mine 😂 I honestly don't know why people bother with the disc conversion though tbh. It's a pain in the arse! The only thing you ever need to replace in drums is a cylinder because they either seize or leak and they're like 5 quid a side. Makes sense just to keep drums over these over priced pointless things! More power in my moped 😂 I might do a drum conversion lol.
saying that, I stripped out the handbrake mechanism from my other caliper this morning so I'll chuck that in the knackered one when I can and then if that don't work ill try the focus caliper and if that don't work ill burn the car 😂
