Default Help! Mk3 mondeo, coolant and strange start up issue!!

Hello all, and thanks in advance. Iv got a very strange issue with my 2005 tdci mondeo. 1st issue involves a coolant problem - losing coolant, when systems under pressure i get loads of white smoke out of exhaust.
2nd prob, seems to be related. But once car has been run upto temperature if i switch engine off and try to restart after 1 hour it wont turn over! Seems almost like its hydrolocked! Sometimes with persistance it will manage to turn over then kind of chugs into life with more white smoke....there is no oil in the water/coolant and neither any water/coolant in the oil and no creamy oil cap! I do seem to have bubbling in the coolant tank coming from the thinner pipe attaching to thermostat housing! Otherwise engine runs and feels nice! any help would be greatly appreciated thankyou!
Also if car is driven without water/coolant cap on the tank it generally doesnt produce white smoke....

Seems like you answered your own question , probable head gasket/cracked head or block.

not ideal... could it possible be owt to do with full egr removal but egr cooler still being in place? The delete blank is attached onto the egr cooler.
