Default Focus or mondeo for rwd donor?

So I'm looking for a 1.8 zetec to revitalize my '61 100e and not sure what to go for, my question really is what how much differance between them is there and would the mondeo still the alternator moving? I'm a bit of a novice so not sure how that effects the water pump/rail setup?
Any help figuring this out would be massively appreciated

The Mondeo got the silvertop and latter the Blacktop. There is very little difference in it between Mondeo or Focus in this respect.

The only reason I would choose a silvertop over a Blacktop is if it was sat there.

Find the best engine you can. Bits and bobs can be swapped to help it fit.
