Default Non starter after changing battery

Hi I have recently acquired a 1.25 Fiesta for the other half.

The car was slow to turn over but always started. I decided to replace the battery as I didn't want her ringing me up saying it wouldn't start.

I replaced the battery and then tried to start car but it won't turn over. All the ignition lights come on but when I turn the key to start it nothing happens.

Now she is really pissed off at me.

Any ideas anyone

Have you reconnected all connections properly? I think these have a relay, so it could be this has lost power. Either way power is not reaching the starter motor.

I don't think the starter is an immobilisation point, which eliminates this, but does the LED go off inside?

Ok, so the next thing would be to check whether the relay is switching.

The easiest way would be to listen to the fuse box when cranking you should be able to hear it switch/"click" when energised, if working.
