Ford sierra 2.0 dohc
Ive spend time and money on getting the car looking right over the last 5 years.

Hasn't been easy due to medical issues, in and out of hospital but I've been determined to get this going. Full respray, seats reupholstered. Plenty more, only thing original on the car is the engine and steering wheel 😂

But now I'm looking to make some more power. The 2.0 efi dohc engine is a bit.... Lazy? 😂 But I can't afford a yb engine or anything like that. So has anyone any ideas?

When I had a Sierra hatchback GT this had the same engine in as yours. I fitted a induction kit and removed the cat. The car was defo quicker with the cat removed. At the time a friend of mine worked for an exhaust place so he removed the cat and made me a pipe to fit where the cat was.

You could always fit a mk5 escort RS2000 engine. I've heard of people using the 2.3 engine out if the Ford Galaxy.

 

it will all boil down to how much you want to spend really. a rs2000 swop or galaxy motor could zetec it or v6 bob or boa.. But them black top dohc motors are good engines i think if u got induction kit and help it breath better maybe better ht leads and plugs it should feel more powerfull doing that first

 

Head work, cams and induction would release some power but conventional tuning is often not cheap.
