Hi looking for a bit of advise around 2012 rebuilt my engine and put a protect oil pump in my rebuilt engine I have only done 450 miles r the pumps crap should I be swapping it out I always remember it didn’t even have the counter sunk hole in the lid for spray bar I bought it from Matt Lewis thanks kirk

Hi mate now I no your talking about a cosworth pump . Why are you thinking the pump is scrap ??
is the pump off the motor and apart ??
Have you removed the crank shells ??
Have you checked the hex shaft that drives the oil pump ??

 

So wot was the out come with this oil pump ???

 

Pump is working fine I just read a few posts online people saying the protech Motosport ones r no good I don’t want it to fail thanks
